MYTH MOTOR
Myth Motor is Matias Corea, a one-man custom motorcycle shop in Brooklyn, NY. The builds are the culmination of years of design experience, an obsession for BMW airhead motorcycles, a passion for their mechanics, and a never-ending curiosity for exploring the world's furthest places and connecting with their cultures and landscapes through motorcycle travel.
THE STORY
Matias Corea is a designer, photographer, motorcycle adventure traveler, entrepreneur, and bike builder with a lifelong love for motorcycles that began in his childhood in Barcelona.
In 2002, Matias moved to Brooklyn, NY, to grow his design career and experience life abroad. Over the years, he co-founded Behance, the creative network; Satellite Labs, an in-camera filmmaking company; and was a creative director and partner at a Brooklyn-based motorcycle apparel store. In 2021, he founded Myth Motor—a project born from his passion for design, travel, and motorcycles.
In 2016, Matias fulfilled a lifelong dream: to ride the length of the American continent with his best friend, Joel Estopà. Together, they journeyed over 20,000 miles on two BMW R80G/S bikes, traveling from Brooklyn through North, Central, and South America. That experience became the basis for his book Two Wheels South: A Motorcycle Adventure from Brooklyn to Ushuaia—a a compilation of his learnings about life, being on the road, friendship, and a sort of field guide for long-distance adventure riders.
In 2022, he built the first Myth motorcycle with one goal: to ride from his hometown of Barcelona to Cape Town, South Africa—the southernmost country on the African continent. Once again joined by Joel, the journey became another chapter in a life defined by exploration, storytelling, and the open road.
